چکیده

The vibrational predissociation spectra of the CN–H2 and CN–D2 complexes are measured in regions between 450 3100 cm−1 an ion trap at different temperatures free electron lasers for infrared experiments (FELIX) Laboratory. Strong differences two para ortho nuclear spin isomers (CN–(p-H2) or CN–(o-H2) CN–(p-D2) CN–(o-D2)) detected. In case we could assign observed bands with help accurate quantum calculation. spectrum is dominated by first overtone hindered H2 rotation combination CN isomer. energetically higher-lying CN–(p-H2) isomer was not due to efficient ortho-para ligand exchange. C–N stretching mode recorded 2040(1) cm−1. For system several modes both overlap their low-lying intermonomer streching bending region, but main attributed more stable D–D vibration found be 2898(1)

Photofragment spectroscopy and predissociation dynamics of weakly bound molecules.

Photofragment spectroscopy is combined with imaging techniques and time-resolved measurements of photoions and photoelectrons to explore the predissociation dynamics of weakly bound molecules. Recent experimental advances include measurements of pair-correlated distributions, in which energy disposal in one cofragment is correlated with a state-selected level of the other fragment, and femtosec...

Vibrational predissociation spectroscopy of Ar-tagged, trisubstituted silyl cations

Vibrational predissociation spectra of the (CH3)2RSi Arn, (R = H and CH3, n = 1 and 2) ions are compared with harmonic calculations to structurally characterize these putative reactive intermediates. Although the vibrational photofragmentation behavior indicates that the Ar–Si bond is quite strong relative to that found in closed shell ions, formation of the Ar adducts is calculated to cause on...

HIGH RESOLUTION LASER SPECTROSCOPY IN COLD SUPERSONIC MOLECULAR BEAMS COOLING, REDUCTION OF DOPPLER WIDTH AND APPLICATION

The cooling of molecules during the adiabatic expansion of supersonic seeded molecular beams is reviewed and illustrated by the example of NO -molecules. The reduction of the Doppler width by collimation of the beam and the cooling to low rotational temperatures brings a significant simplification of the complex NO -absorption spectrum and allows its assignment. The measured rotational tem...

Subrecoil Raman spectroscopy of cold cesium atoms

We describe and characterize a setup for subrecoil stimulated Raman spectroscopy of cold cesium atoms. We study in particular the performances of a method designed to active control and stabilization of the magnetic fields across a cold-atom cloud inside a small vacuum cell. The performance of the setup is monitored by copropagative-beam stimulated Raman spectroscopy of a cold cesium sample. Th...
